Kiwi English Classes
These Kiwi English Classes have been held since 2000, and were thought up to promote interest in New Zealand and active exchange with Wellington. The classes are taught by 2 Kiwi teachers, and focus on English useful for traveling to or doing a home stay in New Zealand, such as greetings, weather, shopping, etc., and use original teaching materials to make the classes fun and welcoming. The course also introduces native Maori culture, as well as expressions and word meanings specific to New Zealand, making it an extremely interesting and popular class. With everyone’s help the 15th Kiwi English Class was held in 2011. We hope to be able to continue to support Sakai’s exchange with New Zealand through these classes in the future, so please get involved!
